In the Season 4 premiere of Burger Scholar Sessions, George Motz celebrates two famous college-town burgers from the Midwest-the Theta Special near the OU campus, and the Duane Purvis near Purdue University. The first one features a special hickory sauce. While the second one is cooked like schnitzel and covered in peanut butter. George says if you want a great cheeseburger, always head to a college town. Why? "Duh, because students love burgers," says Motz.   • Idk when Burgers became so overhyped. Most people who dream of a 90$ burger have never eaten in a French restaurant. In other words: they have no food culture, no developed tastes - just fat, salt and meat. I know there are plenty of channels out there teaching people to cook proper meals, but Burger- and Vegan-Cooking-Channels can't do that and yet they are the popular ones. Because they come from a place of no culture, pay no reference to the food or quality of ingredients (vegans especially don't get that their Proteins and Vitamins are extraced in labs). Just accept that Americans have no food culture and never had and stop pretending it's something amazing to put some meat in a bun.
